Phenomenon of increase in global average temperature, both in the atmosphere and in the oceans. The emission of greenhouse gases due to human activity, mainly from the burning of fossil fuels, accelerates the natural greenhouse effect and increases global warming.
This phenomenon has been widely discussed worldwide and it was established, within the Paris Agreement, to keep this increase in average global temperature below 2 degrees Celsius, in order to avoid reaching dangerous and irreversible levels of Climate Change.
