It is an agreement within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change that establishes measures for the reduction of Greenhouse Gas emissions through the mitigation, adaptation and resilience of ecosystems. This agreement entered into force in 2016, with the commitment of the signatory countries to keep the increase in world temperature below 2° C and to strive to ensure that it does not exceed 1.5° C.
